People looking to start up a new business, or make the most of an existing one, have a great opportunity to do just that in Berinsfield this April.
From Monday 29 April to Friday 3 May, the PopUp Business School team will be helping new and established businesses get going and to kick-start a business the right way.
Sponsored by South Oxfordshire District Council and The Berin Centre, an intensive course will run from 10am-3pm each day and is taking place at the Berinsfield Community Association in the village. Workshops will include how to start a business for free, marketing and setting up social media, and how to find customers quickly.
The course is open to people of all ages looking to start their own business, including the long term unemployed and budding entrepreneurs, and business owners who need a hand on marketing their product or service.
Cllr Paul Harrison, Cabinet Member for Development and Regeneration at South Oxfordshire District Council said, “We know the course can make a big difference – last year, we supported the workshops to take place in Didcot and 15 new businesses were created that week, including a wedding photographer and a vegan fast food retailer. The different sessions have something for everyone, so if you just have a business idea or if you’re a sole trader who needs some great marketing advice then this course is for you.”
Simon Paine, co-founder of the PopUp Business School said, “This is a chance for people to make money by doing something they love. Whether its gaming, gardening or gymnastics, if it puts a smile on your face, we urge you to come to our free course and we’ll teach you how to turn your passion into a business.”
